Notice about Boljetinska River Canyon

Among the protected geoheritage sites, not only in the area of Djerdap Geopark, the Boljetinska Reka Canyon stands out for its attractiveness. After the recent floods, the Boljetinska River swelled from the rains, destroyed the embankment, undermined the road and carried it downstream into the Danube in the largest part along the profile. Expanding the riverbed all the way to the steep sides of the canyon, where it still flows, the Boljetinska River made it impossible to visit this exceptional geoheritage. Interested visitors who would like to see the canyon, please do not go on your own initiative because of the danger. After the repair of the road and the arrangement of the geoheritage site, we will inform about the resumption of the path.
