Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark was declared in 2020. Yesterday, the documentation for the revalidation of Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark was officially sent to UNESCO, Directorate for Environmental and Earth Sciences, UNESCO Global Geoparks. The system according to which the network of UNESCO geoparks operates is that every fourth year after the designation of the geopark, an assessment of progress is carried out, that is, a re-checking of the value system, management model, geotourism offer and sustainable development of the area.

This also gives us the motivation to further develop the Djerdap area, the first and for now the only geopark in Serbia.
