At the headquarters of PE “Djerdap National Park” in Donji Milanovac, Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark and the Geological Survey of Serbia signed a cooperation agreement on 27.12.2022. Cooperation will take place in the field of geodiversity research, geological heritage studies, sharing of experiences in geoheritage evaluation, geotourism development. The cooperation also includes common educational workshops and seminars with the aim of raising awareness about geodiversity and geoheritage.
The memorandum was signed by acting director of PE “Djerdap National Park” Saša Janošević, manager of Djerdap Geopark and director of the Geological Institute of Serbia, prof. dr Dragoman Rabrenović. This ceremony was attended by the deputy director of the Geological Institute of Serbia, Predrag Mijatović, acting Assistant Director, Aleksandar Milanović and Head of the Group for Analytical Monitoring of Applied Geological Research, Ivana Mojsić-Velikić. Executive Director Nenad Radaković, M.Sc., Head of the Service for Information, Presentation, Tourism and Geopark, Jovana Marinković, and expert associate for geology and geotourism, Dušan Mijović, PhD geologist attended from Djerdap UNESCO Global Geopark.
