Celebration Geodiversity Day in Đerdap National Park and Đerdap UGGp

Celebration Geodiversity Day in Đerdap National Park and Đerdap UGGp was organized in PE “Djerdap National Park” with a workshop for children about volcanoes. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Conserving The Past – Sustaining The Future”, which emphasizes the importance of proper management of natural resources in order to ensure a healthy and sustainable planet for future generations. Little explorers, students from Elementary School “Vuk Karadžić”, IO Miroč, had the opportunity to get acquainted with the incredible world of volcanoes. Through interactive activities, educational presentations and experiments, children learned how volcanoes are formed, how they function and what are the consequences of their eruptions in addition. The participants had the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge about geodiversity and the importance of volcanic activity in the formation of the Earth’s surface.
